El Paso Opens a 100,000-Square-Foot Church Home

Hell ” , was a tremendous success. W ’ e

saw over 800 people go through, with

over 250 decisions for Christ! This year we were able to take advantage of the movie, “ The Passion of the Christ ” . The local theaters opened their doors to us, giving us total freedom. We were able to rent out die whole dieater, three times. They cut the opening previews and also the ending credits to allow us time to preach an altar call at the end. In order to attend the movie, you had to buy a ticket for yourself and one for a visitor. The church responded by inviting two or three visitors per person. They invited their bosses, coworkers, and our business owners brought out all of their employees. For every saint in the theater, there were two or three non ­ saved people. What a great opportunity for them to see the movie, and for us to pull an altar call. Hundreds accepted Christ and are still with us in our church.

This year, we also hosted our Second Annual Bible Conference. Our the m e wa s “ Unto ► the Ends of the Earth.. ..The Grand Vision ” . What a visitation from God! Our guest speakers were Pastors Mitchell, Warner, and Campbell. On Friday night, we continued with “ the grand vision ” and announced five new works. We sent churches to Las Cruces, NM; El Monte, CA; Sarasota, FL; El Paso, TX; and Casas Grandes, Mexico. Many couples have been rising up since then to fill in the gaps of the ministry these new' pastors are leaving behind. Many men have risen up and we have two or three different outreach teams going out every week. Our leaders are getting a burden to co-labor with the surrounding churches and we have been partnering with them to see souls saved. BWe are R planning to hit the streets and evangelize all summer long.

To top things off, God's blessing was upon the El Paso congregation. We have been searching for a new building to buy, but have been hitting roadblocks. The banks would not finance us and we were limited on resources. Pastor Stephens made the comment that he would not commit our church finances into a building if it meant Pioneer w o , ~ r, e us not being able to continue to plant churches. He said that planting churches was our mandate, not our building project. I believe God smiled upon a church committed to world evangelism and opened the doors of Heaven. A local business owner blessed us with a 100,000 sq. ft. building! He financed it himself, no money down, and no credit check. Glory to God! Keep praying for El Paso, as we continue to raise up disciples, plant churches, and do the will of God!
