Revival with Mark Hurley Refreshes Union City

Last Memorial Day we had our annual church picnic/baptism. Eight souls from our congregation received water baptism all with great testimonies of what Jesus has done in their lives. Friends and family of church members joined us and witnessed something they’ve never seen before. After the baptism we gathered together and sang songs and shared testimonies and the word of God was preached.

In June we had a revival with Evangelist Mark Hurley. At the major outreach the Saturday before 42 souls received Jesus Christ. Then in August we had Pastor Jose Torres once again. We had two major outreaches and saw 40 souls saved. Both revivals gave timely messages that encouraged and challenged us all.

In November we had a revival with Pastor Jeff O’Brien. Simple messages made a powerful impact in our congregation as our church sought more for unity and for souls. This was a key revival for our congregation and a turning point as many were challenged and willing to contend for growth and deliverance.

The excitement from this revival carried through to our next revival in January with Evangelist Bob Hall. Timely messages stirred the saints and new converts as well. We had visitors receive Jesus Christ every night, some of which our new converts invited.

Most of the visitors from that week continue to come to church. This revival marked a new level for our church bringing an excitement and genuine care from the saints to see souls make it in the kingdom of God.

Folks are rising up and excited to follow up on new converts and new converts are coming to church and bringing others to church. The momentum that started in our congregation in November picked up speed during this revival and continues to this day.

We are excited to see men and women rise up to do God’s will. We have three Bible studies going on in three different towns and the congregation is excited about attending them.

God is doing an awesome thing in our congregation. Folks are excited to be serving God and this excitement is being imparted in the new converts. New converts are being encouraged to hang in there and believe in Jesus and the awesome thing is…they are!!
