Music Opens a Door for the Gospel in Rochester — Summer 2024

We kicked off the year with an ice skating outreach at the most popular rink in Rochester right in the heart of the city. We told testimonies, played music, and preached the Gospel to as many as twenty visitors and many more passers by. This outreach was led by a disciple and it has been encouraging to see men step into leadership roles.

We have recently begun putting on monthly acoustic nights in place of our RocOne80 concert scenes and through these outreaches there have been visitors and prayers for salvation at every show so far. We are excited to see where God will take this outreach as we continue to host more events as the year goes on.

In March, we had the privilege of welcoming Evangelist Jerry Fussell to Rochester for a week of revival services. In these services there were 29 first time visitors and eight people praying for salvation, along with many encouraging words for people in our congregation. We would like to thank Evangelist Fussell for his ministry and for bringing God’s word to the people of our church.

One highlight of this year so far has been our now annual Easter egg hunt outreach. Last year we saw 80 visitors from this outreach. Well, word has spread and this year we saw more than 400 people in attendance. This event has been a great opportunity for us to connect with families in the community and we were encouraged to see 200 people hear the Gospel through the altar call, and 10 souls lift their hands to pray for salvation. 9 Lastly, there has been an opportunity with some ladies in the neighboring city of Buffalo who have a desire to serve God in our Fellowship. Pastor Sullivan has seen the need in this city and has been hosting Saturday Bible studies in the area. So far, they have seen as many as nine people in attendance at these Buffalo Bible studies and two baptized. We are so excited to see what God has for the city of Buffalo which is ripe for the harvest.

We would like to express our gratitude to the Fellowship for all the prayers that have been poured out for this city. We value Pastor Greg and the Prescott church for their vision and faithfulness to the Lord in the work of evangelism, discipleship, and church planting. God has blessed our church abundantly, and we are so grateful for the opportunity to reach this city for Jesus. Please pray for us here in Rochester as we continue to take the land!
