Music Opens a Door for the Gospel in Tempe — Spring 2009

In December, we had our farewell for the Vargas Family and they moved to Belo Horizonte, Brazil to pioneer.

Our “Electric Café” music scene was busy and bore fruit. Our children’s Christmas Play, “Miracle on Main Street,” packed the house and two souls responded. We thank God for the faithful laborers in our congregation who make all these things possible!

As the calendar turned, Pastor Chris Aulson from South Africa preached us out of 2008 and into 2009, loosing a fresh surge of the Holy Ghost.

Then, we sent 15 delegates to Prescott Conference and all came back spiritually recharged and freshly stirred.

After that, we started a ministry called “Focused Fire” where our church focuses our prayers on one of our daughter churches for a week. Already we have seen first time visitors in two of our pioneer churches and our missionary couple in Brazil locked down an apartment. We are anticipating even greater results in our daughter churches as we continue in this endeavor.

Also, our young men started a new ministry called “Serious Men” where they gather together and study God’s Word. This came from their own initiative and bodes well for future preachers.

In February, we have already had a powerful revival with Russ Casteel from San Jose, CA.

Also, we had our farewell service for Pat & Beth Hermes who will be pioneering in Gilbert, AZ.

God is on the move and we are anticipating a glorious year – “It’s God’s Time In ‘09!” God bless you.
