Hope Reaches Behind Prison Walls in Globe — Fall 2006

Here at home we have been seeing visitors almost every service. One young man in particular came in with his family. After service he came up to one of the brothers and asked “Do you remember me? You came in two years ago to the jail and I got saved then.” This was the result of our ministry at our county jail. He and his family have since locked in!

We’ve been seeing God move among our teenagers as well. One sister in the church lives across the street from the high school and has allowed the teens to gather there in her yard. During their lunch break they street preach and confront their peers with the Gospel. After one gathering a couple of teens from another church came up to one of the girls and said that they wished they were that bold, to make that kind of a stand for Jesus.

We have also started a satellite church in a town about 30 minutes away where they’ve already secured a building and have begun remodeling it. They hold services on Thursday nights and will soon start to hold services on Sunday mornings.

In May we sent an impact team to Dover, Delaware to help our baby church. They spent three days outreaching and witnessing with a number of people saved. In July we held our Harvester’s Homecoming where we celebrated 30 years of preaching the Gospel. Pastor Bob Mammen was the featured speaker. He preached a timely message and gave powerful words of prophesy. We also sent an impact team of 26 people to Romania a week after the Prescott Conference . They spent 10 days outreaching and witnessing, and many were saved. While it’s good to come home, there is nothing that compares with the joy of going to another country and seeing souls won to the kingdom! We are very excited and are looking forward to what God’s doing in our congregation and city. Continue to pray for us as we pray for you.
