A New Church Home Opens in Austin

Greetings from the capital of the Lone Star state! We started up our concert scenes again in April. We hadn’t had any concerts in a couple of months because we were preparing our new building. On the first night it was standing room only! Since then, we have continued to see numerous visitors, many who make a decision for Christ. We have also seen a reenergizing of the whole church, from youth to older converts, because of the opportunity to serve in this ministry.

We recently had a young couple get radically saved. Here is her testimony:

“My name is Roxanne Villatoro and I was born and raised in Austin. I didn’t grow up in church and I didn’t believe in God. Because my family was involved in witchcraft, I would see and feel strange things.

I was 13 when I was witnessed to by April from the Potter’s House. She would call me and invite me to church but I’d ignore her and make excuses not to go. I had lived in fornication with Alex for about five years, since middle school. We had a lot of problems. I was told that one day Alex was going to beat and kill me. Something kept telling me to contact April, so one day after work, I did. I had kept her number for four years! She was surprised I still remembered her.

In November 2010, I followed her to church and repented of my sins. I felt God’s presence but was afraid to tell anyone. I didn’t come back to church for about three months. I started cutting myself and popping pills. I just wanted to end my life. Around March 2011 Alex and I saw that our problems were way out of control and we needed help. I told him I knew about a really good church that would teach us the Bible and help us.

On April 17, we got right with God. We went to the altar and repented and got married that same day. Since then, I haven’t stopped living for God and I don’t plan to stop either. He got me out of psycho thoughts, suicide, drugs and alcohol, and restored my relationship with my husband.”

In July, we announced our third baby church at Prescott conference. Upon our return, we went straight into revival with Dennis Wright. As a result of words in due season and fire from the pulpit, our church has a new zeal.
