A Season of Revival Renews Palmdale — Summer 2020

One year ago we had revival with Tim Miller that brought lasting fruit. A family that got saved is still serving God today and the husband just preached his first altar call last week.

We supported Fellowship events in our area including the California Conquests; the Redlands Rally and Discipleships; and the Redlands, Oceanside and Venice Beach crusades. God blessed our labors for others by giving us fruit in our area.

July included special services with Angel Morales, Desmond Burghard (from Holland) and Evangelist Bob Mammen. All of them spoke timely words.

In September the Palmdale church celebrated 35 years. Gordon Porter (from the mother church in Lake Havasu) started off, followed by former pastors Hoyt Hutchinson and Jeff Rens. Saturday night with Greg Mitchell broke attendance records as area churches outreached with us and stayed for the service.

Our Haunted House also had alltime highs, with more than 600 coming through and about 400 praying for salvation. All of the hard work 10 was worth it. We were voted the top Haunted House in our area.

For the first time my wife and I were able to go on the Israel trip. What an experience! What used to be just stories came alive before our eyes.

We started 2020 with Bart Kooijker coming from China with one of their couples. It was God blessing us for taking a team to that area of China four years ago.

Carlos Olivas did an outstanding Valentines seminar for us. Most of the people in our church are married and it truly was a great time of families being helped. Then Kris Hart preached an amazing revival. People still reference off the words that were given. It is great to be in a Fellowship with gifted men who hear from God. California went into lockdown so we had to cancel an overseas trip and a local revival, but God enlarged us through online services, and Saturday music and drama.

I read that two thirds of churches dropped in giving, but we had our best month ever financially! We were able to bless the Prescott church and put more money in savings.

Others states have been opening up, but LA County extended the stayat-home order indefinitely. We had an online meeting with the Palmdale City Manager. Later he called me and said they would waive the $75 permit fees for each drive-in service, saving us $750. We recently had our first drivein church service in the parking lot.

We are expecting great things at July conference, and are experiencing what Paul said in Philippians 1:12, “I want you to know, brethren, that the things which happened to me have actually turned out for the furtherance of the Gospel.”
