Music Opens a Door for the Gospel in Seattle

One of our fruitful ‘tools’ for evangelism is a play titled the “Addict”. It is comprised of the various scenes about addiction and the frailty of human life without Jesus.

We have used this in several places in the Seattle area and several other of the Northwest Area churches with souls responding at every performance.

This past summer we took the play, along with the rap group, Reconciled, from Eugene, OR to Westlake Center in the heart of downtown Seattle.

A month later seven more souls where added to God’s kingdom when we did it again with our own bands near the downtown Seattle water front.

In July, while Pastor & Cindy Drout were at the Prescott Bible Conference we saw an outstanding miracle involving a little 5 year old girl in our congregation. She suddenly became ill with blood poisoning that had caused her left arm to swell up and turn red. The doctors said they would need to amputate the arm by the next day to prevent the infection from spreading. The saints gathered to pray for her. Pastor Drout was called and while the mother and the others laid hands on the child, there was an immediate and dramatic change. To that point she had been listless, but quickly sat up and began to play. By the next day the swelling and discoloration was gone! Thank God for His Goodness, Mercy and Healing Grace ! We concluded the Summer with one of the best revivals we have ever had with Evangelist Gerry Fussell. By the time the dust settled, we saw seven souls saved, back sliders rededicated and twelve folks filled with the Holy Ghost. As we enter into the Fall season, we have cranked up our inside ‘Solid Rock’ music scene and are looking forward to seeing God continue to move. Recently we were privileged to have Pastor Mitchell for a one night area wide rally. We are deeply grateful to Pastor Mitchell and the Prescott Congregation for investing in and praying for us over the years.

Thank God for all he is doing and that is yet to come in West Seattle.
